We first discovered Kani Tengoku on social media and, knowing the reputation of the original Asoke/Thonglor location, decided it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We were pleasantly surprised to find they had opened this branch in the Groove at Central World—it’s a bit tucked away in a quiet corner, which actually made for a much more intimate anniversary celebration!
We went for the Course A (4980++) menu, which is the ultimate 'all-in' experience. It covers absolutely everything: Hokkaido King Crab (Tarabagani), Snow Crab (Zuwaigani), fresh oysters, scallops, and an extensive list of side dishes. The quality of the King crab is world-class—the meat was sweet, firm, and incredibly fresh. One of the best perks is the service; the staff offer to professionally crack and deshell everything table-side, so you can just enjoy the meal without the hard work.
A few tips for fellow diners:
The Menu: The premium package is massive! I’m a big eater, but even I found it a challenge to get through the variety. If you have a specific craving, I’d suggest choosing a focused course (like just King Crab or Snow Crab) to get the best value for your money.
Drinks: They have an impressive selection of Japanese drinks, wine, and sake, with bottles ranging from 500 to 3000 baht—very reasonable for a premium spot.
Families: They have great kids' dishes with very generous portions.
The staff were incredibly attentive, and the manager on duty was frequently checking in to ensure we were well looked after. While we would have loved a quick explanation on the best sauce pairings for each crab type, the overall experience was fantastic. My wife’s King crab craving was satisfied for a lifetime—we actually ate so much we skipped breakfast and lunch the next day!
Definitely a must-visit for seafood lovers in Bangkok.
