When I heard this was Bangkok’s first wagyu-focused restaurant, I knew I had to try it—and wow, everything feels so premium from the moment you step in.
My absolute favorite dish was the seared Aka-Ushi beef tartare. It was so perfectly balanced and flavorful that I couldn’t resist finishing every bite. The Yukuyagi somen noodles from Kumamoto were another highlight—delicate, handmade strands that clearly reflect the love and effort behind them.
For comfort food, the Aka-Ushi shabu-shabu hotpot is unbeatable. It’s the kind of dish that satisfies every craving while showcasing the richness of wagyu in the most comforting way.
The ambiance is spot-on: clean, industrial design that creates a refined, premium atmosphere. The staff serve with pride, fully knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely accommodating, which makes the experience even more memorable.
And as if the food weren’t enough, the location adds another layer of charm. After dining, you can head to the view deck overlooking Lumpini Park—the Bangkok skyline is breathtaking, making Koubai not just a restaurant but a destination.
Service is excellent and food is great. High quality service by the staff who are polite and attentive. Highly recommend !
overpriced relative to food quality. great service and atmosphere but you will be bankrupt before you’re full.
The food is so-so and quite expensive. The service is good, but the staff are still too new to handle customers professionally .
