We spotted this place near our hotel after reading good things online and decided to try it for a Japanese dinner. The moment you walk in, staff shout a traditional welcome - very izakaya, very fun once you lean into it.
The restaurant is busy in style, cosy and buzzing with energy.
Fair warning: the menu is absolute chaos. Hundreds of items across multiple pages, no clear logic to the organisation. We genuinely struggled to choose and ended up relying on recommendations we'd found online.
The food itself was largely excellent.
The star was the tableside pasta—yes, pasta at a Japanese restaurant—prepared in a cheese wheel right in front of you. Don't ask me about the Hokkaido connection, but it was genuinely delicious and quite the show.
The sushi was fresh and well-executed, and the beef dishes were spot on too. The only miss was the oysters, which didn't particularly impress, but everything else delivered.
It's pricier than typical Bangkok dining, but you're paying for quality ingredients (much of it flown in from Hokkaido, apparently) and an experience.
Very delicious and nice service
